Greetings Film Fiends and welcome to John Doe's Film Blog. 30 years of dedicated celluloid obsession has meant that I have seen a few films. Drawing attention to some of the lesser discussed gems that I love. Cult classics, obscure curios and quality genre pictures. This blogs purpose is to translate some of my passion for these films and with luck, inspire you the reader to go check em out.

Classic Christmas Cartoons (1964-69) - Footage Included

Frosty, Rudolph, The Grinch & Little Drummer Boy

Modified: Chrismas Eve

How The Grinch Stole Christmas
make a wish
Christmas is close, real close, Saint Nick will be dropping down the chimney in 2 more sleeps.

Attempting to spread a little moving picture, Orble cheer and feeling a bit nostalgic, John Doe found a few of the Christmas cartoons he used to watch every Noel.

They may have been made before JD’s birth, but when I was a kid these nostalgic specials always marked the true arrival of Xmas cheer.

Inspired hand drawn animation, energetic voice work and a solid streak of sincere comedy makes these timeless classics that have me reflecting on my younger days of innocence and belief.

The stop motion animation still charms, every word of the songs remains clear and Below are the complete stories….gather the nearest youngun’ and I hope they make you smile.

Figured you could do with a visit but boy was I surprised, my good deed has met with a magnificent reward.

Hurrah for Christmas and its spirit. Hope you've brightened up.

Aargh! A lot of the videos turn up a "Video is no longer available" message.

But the sheer mention of Frosty and Little Drummer Boy bring back a lot of memories for me...

Damn right Adrian, aaaaarrrggghhhhh times infinity...

I only put these up yesterday. This is the second time this week that a video I have chosen gets taken down within 24hrs of me posting it.....

Guess it was dodgy having the entire stories up on-line for free. At least The Grinch and Rudolph remain....

May try and find trailers for Frosty and Drummer boy......

Santa Claus is coming to town - love it.
Don't know why, but the old Grinch makes me feel... depressed or something. Not very merry anyway!

Ho, Ho, Ho to Santa coming to town...

The Chuck Jones animation, hilarious voice wok and slapstick make this version of the Grinch and animated masterpiece. It just oozes all the appeal of the Suess source for me. Guess it has something to do with seeing nearly ever Xmas of my life.
