John Doe Immigrates to the U.S.A – Part 1 (Departures and Arrivals)
Disclaimer - Film reviews, news, gossip and reflections will soon return, in the meantime though, some may be interested in why John Doe ceased and desisted in his ritualistic contributions to JDMFilmReviews.
As the earth span off its axis, rotating at an exponentially increasing pace, John Doe travelled through time and space to an alternate dimension of his home planet. The tides of anxiety rose, volcanoes of fear erupted and a cyclone of terror annihilated any semblance of a past life.
Docking at L.A.X. International airport, Mr Doe disembarked from his winged passenger transport that might as well have been one of HG Well’s quantum bending contraptions. A world away was now home, a one way ticket removing any chance of retreat.
Departing the warmth of Summer in Sydney to a similar climate in Los Angeles, California, reacclimatizing was approached tenderly. The decision to auction off an old life, dismissing its geographical ties and family bonds demands strict dedication.
Many times the opportunity to quit reveals itself, like Peter Lorre in a darkened room you never know for sure that the “stuff dreams are made of” is worth the price. There was the garage sale where sentimental treasures were unloaded for 10 cents. Freefalling well beyond the comfort zone, moving out of a familiar rental to spend a month with Mummy, the thorough exhaustion left no mental or anatomical muscle unstrained.
Relentlessly they were burdened with functioning towards a seemingly impossible goal. The defensive arsenal consisted of a Greencard, the vague promise of work, Mrs Doe and a focused determination to live our dream!
Immediately something strange began to emerge. The realization that a reality we had occupied in our mind began to crossover, we were existing in a self constructed universe.

A total of 4 rewarding days were spent with old friends in Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Visiting the world’s largest Cinema dedicated book store and witnessing Quantum of Solace at the internationally recognized Arclight Dome on Sunset.
Soaking up the celluloid and digital image obsessed vibe it was time for your faithful duo to move on to our chosen plot to settle in.
The location of our new life, within half hour of Stratton Mountain, Vermont!
Stay tuned for the next chapter titled – Snow, Ice and Assimilation or Nature versus the Nurtured.

Great to be back in the technological age. No internet for 3 months has been a struggle.
Thanks for the encouraging words too....nice to know I impress someone other than myself.
Reviews are on the way after I finish telling the saga of my dislocation

Americans pounce all over the accent because there are only a handful of us in New England!! Its very cold at the moment, but inspirational.
I always appreciate the overwhelming support from most of the interesting writers around these parts...

All happened so by chance, things just fell into place. new England is gorgeous and we live right on the outskirts of civilization....so peaceful and white...New Hampshire is close to here though, your right about that too..

*lol* Have been through this wormhole twice in my life, know it well... no regrets, well always a couple as here is never there, and there is never here, is it? But all in all, I reckon its coat of arms stuff, forward and not backward.
sounds good so far... hoping it exceeds your Big Dream Expectations..

It is a bizarre adjustment period. Totally different to travelling as a tourist. I have to deal with wild bear!
Having an absolute ball at the moment, the future looks like a powdery white nirvana.
