Machete (Illegal Cinco de Mayo Version) - John Doe’s Trailer of the Moment
Machete declares war.
Now John Doe is living in the politically charged Americas he is seeing firsthand the diversity of the nation. Sure he had heard about the volatile immigration issues down under but now a controversial new Arizona law that targets illegal’s is forcing many to take sides.
Proving that quality mexploitation should be timely, Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Desperado) decided to give Aintitcool.com the first trailer for Machete with a battle cry for the state of Arizona on Cinco de Mayo.
Remaining silent no more, there is only one mexi-who-can and will fight for all those being hunted down and deported. A man operating by slaughter house rules, weilding steel bladed carnage while still lovin the ladies.
Inspired by the mock trailer that opened Grindhouse, Rodriguez has assembled an eclectic cast of familiar faces no doubt aware that cult status is inevitable.
Danny Trejo (Desperado, Heat) plays Machete and coming along for the tequila and burrito hackfest is Robert De Niro (Mean Streets) as the corrupt Senator McLaughlin. Jessica Alba (Sin City, Killer Inside Me) plays bounty hunter Sartana and Michelle Rodriguez (Girlfight) is the vixen of destruction Luz.
Other co-stars include Cheech Marin as “a mean motherfuckin' servant of God”, Don Johnson (The Hot Spot), Steven Seagal, Jeff Fahey (Body Parts), Rose McGowan (Planet Terror), Tom Savini (From Dusk Till Dawn), the babysitter twins and Lindsay Lohan dressed as a nympho-nun.
Sounds like fun don’t it? Check out the trailer and see for yourself. The film is scheduled for release on September 3rd 2010.

De Niro would be wasting the opportunity if he doesn't have a ball with his small part...a license to ham me thinks.
