I've always wanted Deckard's pistol.
Or a light sabre.
Jason Voorhee's machete ...? Simple, and gruesomely effective.
The huge fuck-off carbines in Aliens ...? Cumbersome, but stylishly impressive.
The "wall-stapler" laserguns in Space: 1999 ...? I wanted one of those as a lad!
... Hey, what about Stuntman Mike's 1970 Chevy Nova or 1969 Dodge Charger?

If not - perhaps Briget Bardot (or any of the Bond girls).

The finger gun - Get Smart
Ziegfrieds suicide wedding ring - If he takes it off his wife will kill him.
The hamster numb-chucks from Kung Pow.
Mind Powers from The Fury and Scanners. I like the idea of making someone explode.
The Interceptor from UFO.
Do Giant Worms count? If so then the One in Dune.

Love the Space 1999 one for sure.
Of course Kurts V8 is a weapon in the context of Death proof.

Isn't it the Vulcan nerve Pinch? Just knocks em out.....not sure killing is the Vulcan way since they started that whole suppression of emotion thing. I didn't emphasize potential fatality, so it counts for sure....GREAT ONE!
Hate to question but I don't recall Bridget Bardot being in a Bond film, but she did have some lethal weaponry? Certain Bond Girls were good weapons, others just exploited.

Superb selection with Olga's boot knife in From Russia With Love. (My fave Bond film too)
The Finger Gun is also golden but I don't remember it in the Get Smart film just in the series.
Ziegfried's wedding, clever and true...totally agree.
Mind powers would be a powerful weapon to pack for sure..Spontaneous combustion is enthralling and tempting..Use the force Luke..
Any excuse to mention Lynch's Dune is accepted in my book
I love Gerry Anderson's universe too, got to dig the Interceptor.

I hope that's Brian Cox's Manhunter incisors we talk about not Anthony HAMkins interpretation?
Dig on the rest of your selections too...Great one with Snow White and the apple...
Though i couldn't sit through the film of About A Boy, I read the book years ago and don't remember the Bread Loaf?

I was trying to think of it used against a person in a fight...I was off on a tangent
Good one, I hadn't even considered weapons used against animals in my list. The harpoon in Orca is something special, though the movie makes me bawl.

And the cattle bolt gun!!! Yikes!! I saw a French doco from the 40s inside a slaughterhouse where they used that thing for real. Truly disturbing.

... I am stunned ... you'll have to forgive my enthusiasm, but it has been yyeeeaarrrsss since I could mention that name to anyone without reaping one of those blank stares, wondering if my other head was showing?
*laughs* the boomerang Blades... ooh and that changeling gave me the shivers.
I also like Wolverines blades too, but these days, perhaps the light Sabre is pretty much up there for me, as the ultimate weapon ... although a close margin would reveal the Vogon's gun in the Hitchikers Series... the one that fires back the most futile thought you have... *cuckle* love it!
Okay, answer me this: why does the good guy's gun always sound more ballsy than the villans gun?
Although, not that little gun in the MIB films... I have to agree with Robin's hoods bows (especially when Costner is playing Mr Loxley) ... and Indies Bullwhip is pretty good as are Lara's guns and Ballet Bungy rope...
Great post, can't believe I missed it first time round.
Cheers
Lilla ...

Bring on the trash Krull love, so funny seeing Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane turn up...Directed by Peter Yates the man who made Bullitt, now thats nuts
I think i would prefer Erroll's longbow and its target in Robin (wink).
Great to see you around these parts again, its been a little while.
